Arrested for DUI by the Tinley Park Police Department?
Tinley Park is split between Cook and Will counties, and a DUI is heard in the county where the arrest happened. A Cook County arrest goes to the Fifth Municipal District courthouse at 10220 S 76th Ave in Bridgeview. A Will County arrest goes to Joliet. In both counties, a statutory summary suspension is set for the 46th day after notice.
Your deadlines
- Day 46. Your statutory summary suspension starts, counted from the day you got the notice.
- Day 90. The last day to file a petition to rescind that suspension.
Find the county before the courthouse
- Cook County side: Cook County Circuit Court, Fifth Municipal District, 10220 S 76th Ave, Bridgeview, IL 60455. Jeff already handles Tinley Park matters there.
- Will County side: Will County Courthouse, 100 W Jefferson St, Joliet.
The citation and the police report show where the stop happened. Do not guess from your address, because the village crosses the county line.
Do not go to Village Hall
The Tinley Park footer carries one address on every page, 16250 S. Oak Park Ave., with the main village number, (708) 444-5000. That is Village Hall. The Tinley Park Police Department is at 7850 W. 183rd Street, according to the village's facilities page, phone (708) 444-5300. The police page also says that for non-emergencies you call (708) 532-9111, and that for emergencies you call 911.
Three numbers and two addresses is a lot for someone calling at night. The Police Chief's page shows (708) 444-5300 as the department number.
The car and the fees
The village's police pages post no tow or impound release process, no fee, and no list of approved companies. The police page does link to an overnight parking page and a Driver Exchange feature, which are not about arrests. For the car, call the non-emergency line, ask which company towed it, then ask that company about its hours and daily charges. Ask the department whether any fee is added. Keep the tow slip and any receipt for property the station holds. A date and a name next to each phone call in your notes will save you from repeating yourself later.

Bond
Tinley Park does not publish a bond process online. Illinois no longer uses cash bail; the Will County Sheriff page explains the statutes. If your case is in Cook County, the Bridgeview courtroom sets the conditions. In Will County, Joliet does.
The license date
Under 625 ILCS 5/11-501.1(g), the statutory summary suspension takes effect on the 46th day after notice was given. That is the same in either county. The deadline calculator gives the date, and the after-arrest page lists what to do in the first week.
The numbers, side by side
| Number | What the village site says it is |
|---|---|
| 911 | Emergencies |
| (708) 532-9111 | Non-emergencies, from the Police Department page |
| (708) 444-5300 | Tinley Park Police Department, from the police station facility page |
| (708) 444-5000 | Village Hall main line, shown in the page footer |
The numbers come from three different pages of the village site, so they are easy to mix up. Save the first three in your phone now, and ask a family member to do the same.
