Arrested for DUI in Homer Glen?
Homer Glen has no police department of its own. The village's website says the Will County Sheriff's Office provides police services under an agreement, so a DUI arrest in Homer Glen is made by a deputy. The case is heard at the Will County Courthouse, 100 W Jefferson St, Joliet. Day 46 after notice is when the license suspension begins.
Your deadlines
- Day 46. Your statutory summary suspension starts, counted from the day you got the notice.
- Day 90. The last day to file a petition to rescind that suspension.
Who polices Homer Glen
The village's police page and the Sheriff's page agree. The Village of Homer Glen and the Will County Sheriff's Office have an agreement under which the Sheriff provides police service. The Sheriff's page says the contract has been in place since 2000, and the village page says deputies enforce state laws and various village ordinances. The village says a full-time staff of deputies, sergeants and a lieutenant is assigned to Homer Glen.
Do not go to Village Hall for the arrest
Village Hall is at 14240 West 151st Street, Homer Glen, IL 60491, phone 708-301-0632. The Sheriff's site says a police sub-station sits next to Village Hall. It is not continuously staffed and is used for shift meetings and processing paperwork. To ask about an arrest, call dispatch.
The Sheriff's headquarters is at 16911 W Laraway Rd, Suite 101, Joliet, IL 60433. The Sheriff's non-emergency dispatch number is 815-727-8575. Our Will County Sheriff page has the jail address and the bail page details.
Your car
Neither the village site nor the Sheriff's pages post a tow or impound process, a company list or a release fee. Call the dispatch number, ask which company has the car, and then call the company about its hours, what it needs from you, and its daily storage charge. If the owner is someone else, ask whether the owner has to come in person.

The Sheriff's bail page says bail payments are not accepted online and tells callers to contact the detention facility or come to booking. Illinois law has moved on from cash bail, as the Sheriff's own page on the statutes explains below. Ask the facility what applies before anyone pays.
